Adopt-A-Drain Information Session

  • Barfoot And Thompson Stadium 203 Kohimarama Road Auckland, Auckland, 1071 New Zealand (map)

Have you noticed it rains a lot more lately? Heavy downpours can cause havoc on our streets and cause severe flooding. This is why we are encouraging neighbours to Adopt-A-Drain in their neighbourhoods.

Brought to you by Neighbourhood Support and the Orakei Local Board, this information session will cover everything you need to know about adopting a drain and more.

We’ll be introducing you to Awhi Awa, who can identify which streams are affected by your drains. We’ll also let you know more about how the Adopt-A-Drain movement is gaining momentum nationwide.

To finish, if you wish to join us, we’ll wander through Kepa Bush Reserve to observe the condition of the stream running through it.

So come and be part of a movement to save our streams, our endangered species and prevent flooding in our streets –small act, big impact!
