Network meetings

AECN holds monthly network meetings on the last Wednesday of each month, except in December and January.

Meetings are held at different community venues across the area, with network members taking turns to host.

To make the meetings accessible to people with different schedules, we hold:

• evening meetings at 7pm in February, May, August and November; and

• morning meetings at 10am during the remaining months.

Meetings usually include:

• informal networking and refreshments;

• a guest speaker or presentation;

• an update from the Ōrākei Local Board;

• community updates from attendees; and

• opportunities to share ideas and make connections.

In June and July 2025, Auckland Council surveyed AECN members to understand what was working well, what could be improved, and how the Network could better support the community.
