Glow Ride from Mission Bay to St Heliers

  • Mission Bay Clock Tower 71 Tamaki Drive Auckland, Auckland, 1071 New Zealand (map)

On the first Saturday after daylight savings (4th Apr), dress up your bike and yourself and come for a ride along the shared path between Mission Bay and St Heliers. We’ll meet at the Mission Bay Clock Tower and ride towards town for a bit before turning around and heading to St Heliers. The route is entirely off road with only a few driveways to cross. We’ll be riding slowly and will stop to regroup if we get split up. Bring a Bluetooth speaker and your favourite tunes. Afterwards either head home, go for an icecream or carry on the party into town. Kids are welcome but the ones riding should be able to ride about 10km on the flat.

Rules Are:

  • Front and rear lights are essential, but it’s more fun if you have lots more!

  • You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those around you.

  • Give way to all other path users and to any cars crossing the path.

  • No alcohol during the ride; it’s a kid-friendly event.

  • Keep left and no passing the lead rider.

  • Have fun.
