Celebrate the vibrant traditions of Hungary in the heart of Auckland! Join us for a day filled with music, movement, culture, flavour, and community fun for all ages.

Event Highlights & Descriptions:

 Folklore Dance Performances and Táncház:
Enjoy captivating performances by professional Hungarian folklore dancers presented throughout the day. After each show, everyone is invited to join the lively Táncház and learn traditional steps!

 Folk Music:
Enjoy traditional Hungarian melodies and rhythms bringing authentic atmosphere and energy to the festival throughout the day.

 Traditional Easter Egg Hot Waxing:
Discover the beauty of Hímes tojás: Hungarian Easter eggs decorated with hot wax. Try your hand at this traditional craft and create your own colourful masterpiece to take home.  Limited spots available! Participation requires advance booking and to bring their own boiled eggs!  Raffle with Exciting Prizes:
Enter to win Hungarian-inspired gifts, delicious treats, and unique cultural prizes. Each raffle ticket is $2.

 Easter Egg Hunt:
The Easter Bunny has visited Mission Bay and dropped colourful eggs all around! Little helpers are invited to search high and low to find the hidden treasures and join the fun.

 Traditional Hungarian Goulash Soup:
Warm up with a hearty bowl of authentic Hungarian goulash. Slow-simmered with rich spices and tender meat, this beloved national dish is comfort food at its best. A bowl of goulash is $15.

 Rubik's Cube Extravaganza:
Learn about the fascinating history of the Rubik's Cube, a world-famous Hungarian invention and challenge yourself in our Rubik's Cube competition.

Hungarian Market:
Hungarian vendors will be with us throughout the entire event, offering a delicious selection of traditional goods and treats. From flavourful Kolbász and Lángos to freshly made Kürtőskalács, you’ll have the chance to taste and purchase some of your favourite Hungarian specialities to take home.
